The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation to people and families with incomes under $57,000, non-english speakers, people with disabilities, and people 60 or older.

Each year this program, which is a partnership between the IRS, Beaufort County, and United Way, helps thousands of our neighbors keep much needed money in their pocket. Tax preparation sites are located throughout the region in Jasper, Beaufort, Bamberg, and Colleton counties.
